About the position

We are in the process of onboarding a Data Security Analyst based in Columbia, Maryland. This role will be part of our team that leverages data security measures to protect our network and systems. The successful candidate will enhance our security protocols, manage risk assessments, and ensure our data security measures align with industry best practices. This role provides a contract to hire employment opportunity. The Data Security Analyst will be responsible for conducting thorough risk assessments to identify potential data security vulnerabilities and threats. They will implement and manage data security measures such as firewalls, encryption, and intrusion detection systems. Utilizing technologies such as Apache Spark, Azure Data Factory, and Cloud Technologies will be essential to enhance data security measures. Collaboration with third-party vendors is crucial to ensure they adhere to our data security standards and protocols. The analyst will maintain up-to-date knowledge of EO/IR systems and AB Testing to ensure our data security measures are current and effective. Additionally, they will assist in the development and implementation of a comprehensive data security training program for non-technical staff. Working closely with the information architect team will be necessary to ensure remediation occurs when necessary. Understanding AWS security and IAM is vital to ensure proper security measures are in place. The analyst will also assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to data security, ensuring all measures comply with industry regulations and standards.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Proficient in Apache Spark and Azure Data Factory
  • Extensive experience with Cloud Technologies
  • Strong knowledge of Database systems and management
  • Familiarity with EO/IR systems
  • Proven expertise in AB Testing methodologies
  • Experience in Auditing and identifying data discrepancies
  • Proficiency in AWS Technologies
  • Demonstrated skills in Design, especially in relation to data security
  • Excellent Documentation skills to maintain data security records
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Relevant degree or certification in IT, Computer Science, or related field
  • Familiarity with data protection regulations and laws
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
