About the position

As an Information Security Risk Analyst at Booz Allen Hamilton, you will play a crucial role in helping government agencies and military organizations understand and mitigate cyber threats. Your expertise will be utilized to assess cyber risks, develop mitigation plans, and guide clients through the complexities of cybersecurity. This position involves collaborating with various stakeholders to translate security concepts into actionable strategies, ensuring the protection of mission-critical systems and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Assess cyber risks for the Department of Defense (DoD) and develop mitigation plans.
• Review technical, environmental, and personnel details from subject matter experts and engineers.
• Guide clients through actionable plans with presentations and white papers.
• Translate security concepts for clients to aid in decision-making regarding cybersecurity.
• Act as a subject matter expert in information security and broaden skills in cybersecurity and Risk Management Framework.

Requirements

• Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts.
• Ability to identify security requirements for connected and non-connected systems.
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
• High School diploma or GED.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience as an operating system administrator, systems engineer, or information systems security officer.
• Experience with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
• Familiarity with eMASS, STIGs, SCAP, ACAS, and VRAM.
• Ability to create white papers, standard operating procedures, and architectural diagrams.
• Bachelor's degree.
• DoD 8570 IAT or IAM Level II certification.
