About the position

The Information Services Developer II is a pivotal role focused on the design, development, and implementation of systems tailored to meet specific requirements. This position demands a strong understanding of development methodologies, which the candidate must adhere to while designing and coding applications. The developer will collaborate closely with team members to ensure quality support for both internal and external users, emphasizing customer service and timely delivery of solutions. In this role, the developer will analyze business and functional requirements to create a strategic design approach. They will act as a tenant to outline a workable application design, establishing coding parameters that incorporate essential functionalities. The developer will work collaboratively with team members to identify and resolve issues, implementing technical solutions that are both cost-effective and efficient, without compromising performance quality. The position also involves developing code that aligns with industry best practices and organizational standards. The developer will utilize existing tools and platforms for automation and testing, ensuring that the code is deployed effectively. Additionally, the role includes evaluating proposed system acquisitions or solutions, providing insights into compatibility, cost, resource requirements, and maintenance considerations. Integrating software components and services into the existing technical systems environment is a key responsibility, as is assessing the impact on other systems. The developer will work with cross-functional teams within Information Services to ensure that projects have a positive impact. They will also participate in the development of standards and proactive processes for data collection and reporting on assigned systems. Continuous improvement of deliverables is essential, with the developer expected to document each phase of development for future reference and maintenance operations.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze ideas and business and functional requirements to formulate a design strategy.
  • Act as a tenant to draw out a workable application design and coding parameters with essential functionalities.
  • Collaborate with team members to identify and address issues by implementing viable technical solutions that are time and cost-effective.
  • Develop code following industry best practices and adhere to organizational development rules and standards.
  • Develop and deploy code using existing tools and platforms utilized for automation and testing.
  • Evaluate proposed system acquisitions or solutions development and provide input to the decision-making process.
  • Integrate software components, subsystems, facilities, and services into the existing technical systems environment.
  • Assess the impact on other systems and work with cross-functional teams to ensure positive project impact.
  • Install, configure, and verify the operation of software components.
  • Participate in the development of standards, design, and implementation of proactive processes to collect and report data and statistics on assigned systems.
  • Research, design, develop, and implement applications, databases, and interfaces using provided technology platforms.
  • Fix problems arising across test cycles and continuously improve the quality of deliverables.
  • Reference and document each phase of development for further reference and maintenance operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math or related field
  • Experience with Software Development Life Cycle and process
  • Strong understanding of Algorithm and Data Structure
  • Critical and analytical thinking skills
  • Understanding of programming principles and design
  • Strong technical knowledge of Application, Integration Design and Development of systems, databases, operating systems and Information Services
  • Ability to solve complex problems with direction
  • Effective and patient interaction with customers, especially under pressure
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously to meet deadlines
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with other employees
  • 4+ years' experience in corporate systems environments
  • Minimum of four (4) years development experience in a corporate environment
  • Working experience in design, coding, and deployment
  • Knowledge of industry standard WEB platforms (.NET/C#), Automation (RPA and Test Automation), Microsoft Internet Information Server, Linux, Apache, Unix, Microsoft Foundation Server
  • Experience working with Internal or External customers for coordinating work and designing solutions
  • Experience utilizing the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Agile and Waterfall Methodologies
