About the position

The Information Services Project Manager at Driscoll's is responsible for overseeing the delivery of strategic and complex technology projects across the Enterprise. This role requires strong project management expertise and leadership skills to ensure projects are executed on time and within budget, adhering to defined processes and best practices. The Project Manager will lead cross-functional teams, manage project budgets, and communicate effectively with various stakeholders, making a significant impact on the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Direct, manage, and control multiple small to medium technical projects to ensure successful completion on time and within budget.
  • Provide consistent and comprehensive project updates tailored to different audiences, including project team members and executive committees.
  • Monitor and evaluate project progress, risks, and resource requirements, adjusting as necessary to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with business partners, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to seek consensus and negotiate through challenges.
  • Manage project budgets and financials, ensuring adherence to financial constraints and resource allocation.
  • Execute projects using both Waterfall and Agile methodologies, advocating for adherence to project management tools and processes.
  • Support Program Managers or Senior Project Managers with larger projects or programs as needed.
  • Interpret business challenges and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Drive continuous process improvement within the PMO practice.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in technical project administration and management, preferably in a PMO environment.
  • Effective leadership skills with experience leading cross-functional teams and managing simultaneous projects.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, capable of conveying complex concepts and influencing others.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.
  • Ability to understand and communicate project calculations such as Total Cost of Ownership and Estimate to Complete.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM), Jira, and Smartsheet.
  • Experience with vendor management and vendor selection processes.
  • Experience with large meeting agenda planning and facilitation skills.
  • Experience with organizational change management concepts and process documentation.
