About the position

The Information System Security Analyst position at Apex Systems involves supporting the Department of Justice by developing and implementing security programs to protect vital information systems. Responsibilities

• Develop and implement robust information systems security programs to protect data and systems.
• Work closely with customers to maintain confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information.
• Manage Security Assessment and Authorization (SAA) processes and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Prepare essential documentation and coordinate with security personnel to address vulnerabilities and compliance issues.
• Coordinate security incident responses and represent program security in meetings.
• Assess evolving security threats and adapt to new challenges proactively.

Requirements

• B.S. in Computer Security, related field, or equivalent experience.
• (ISC)2 certifications, CISSP and CAP, are highly preferred.
• Extensive experience with Splunk and Tenable.
• Understanding of network security and familiarity with coding and scripting.
• Proven track record in obtaining and maintaining Authorization to Operate (ATO).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for adequate documentation and coordination.
• Ability to collaborate and contribute to collective goals within a team environment.
• Active Top-Secret clearance is required.
