About the position

The Information System Security Manager at Northrop Grumman is responsible for overseeing cybersecurity assessments, ensuring compliance with security policies, and managing risk mitigation processes. This role requires collaboration across teams to achieve security goals while maintaining a commitment to ethics and innovation. The position is based at the 132 WG Air National Guard Base in Des Moines, Iowa, and involves a mix of technical and managerial responsibilities in the field of cybersecurity.

Responsibilities

  • Perform assessments of systems and networks to identify deviations from acceptable configurations and policies.
  • Establish program control processes to mitigate risks and support certification and accreditation of systems.
  • Assist in implementing government policies and recommend process tailoring.
  • Support formal Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) required by government accrediting authorities.
  • Document results of Certification and Accreditation activities and prepare system Security Plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline with 5 years of experience, or 3 years with a Master's degree, or 9 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Active, in-scope US Government issued Secret clearance.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and standards, including NIST Special Publication 800-53.
  • Knowledge of security tools and technologies for monitoring and protecting information systems.
  • Experience with the DoD RMF Assessment and Authorization process.

Nice-to-haves

  • Possession of DoD Directive 8570/8140 Information Assurance Manager Level II certification.
  • DISA ACAS Training/Certified.

Benefits

  • Salary range of $92,600.00 - $139,000.00 based on experience and qualifications.
