About the position

The Information System Security Manager (ISSM) at HII Mission Technologies is responsible for overseeing the security of classified Information Systems. This role involves generating and maintaining security documentation, managing system changes, ensuring compliance with security procedures, and conducting investigations into security violations. The ISSM will work closely with various government agencies to ensure the integrity and security of sensitive information, contributing to national defense against digital threats.

Responsibilities

• Generate and maintain security documentation including System Security Plans and Risk Assessment Reports.
• Certify and accredit classified Information System networks, ensuring auditing requirements are met.
• Manage changes to the system and assess the security impact of those changes.
• Ensure compliance with system security procedures, including software security patching.
• Maintain responsibility for Information System media control and anti-virus updates.
• Conduct periodic self-inspections of the Information System program for compliance.
• Investigate security violations and ensure corrective actions are implemented.

Requirements

• 9 years relevant experience with a Bachelor's in a related field; 7 years with a Master's; 4 years with a PhD or JD; or 13 years relevant experience with a High School Diploma.
• Top Secret/SCI security clearance with Poly.
• Knowledge across all aspects of Security.
• Proven experience in risk assessment and security incident management.
• Operating knowledge of Windows/Linux operating systems.
• Minimum of 5+ years' experience administering security responsibilities.
• Experience with RMF, NIST 800-53, CNSSI 1253, and NISPOM.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Organized and detail-oriented.
• Minimum of Security+ certification, preference for CISSP.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with STIGS, SCAP, SCC, vulnerability scanning, and logging tools.
• Knowledge of Access Commander or SIMS.
• Networking and access control knowledge.
• SAP experience.
• COMSEC experience.
