About the position

The Information System Security Officer (ISSO) at Pantheon Data LLC is responsible for overseeing the security of information systems and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. This role involves developing security policies, conducting risk assessments, and managing security incidents to protect the organization's information assets.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee operational information systems security implementation policy and guidelines of network security, based upon the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies and advise customer on Risk Management Framework (RMF) assessment and authorization issues.
  • Ensure compliance with federal regulations and industry standards.
  • Evaluate threats and vulnerabilities to ascertain whether additional safeguards are needed.
  • Oversee incident response and manage security incidents.
  • Provide technical direction to personnel performing IT systems analyses and IT system development tasks.
  • Assess changes in the system, its environment, and operational needs that could affect the authorization.
  • Monitor security systems and networks for potential threats.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure comprehensive security coverage.
  • Ensure that authorization is accomplished and a valid Authorization determination has been given for all authorization boundaries under your purview.
  • Develop policies and procedures for responding to security incidents, including investigating and reporting security violations and incidents.
  • Ensure proper protection or corrective measures have been taken when an incident or vulnerability has been discovered within a system.
  • Coordinate and perform logical and physical systems designs for network and storage.
  • Review and prepare system documents or specifications.
  • Responsible for ensuring a stable and usable system through the integration of various software and hardware platforms and components.
  • Establish and maintain development and testing environments and the configuration management process and structures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in information security management.
  • CISSP or CISM certification preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of NIST, RMF, and other relevant frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
