About the position

The Information System Security Specialist III at F5 Networks is responsible for ensuring the security and compliance of information systems. This role involves performing system software updates, patching, monitoring, and maintaining security compliance, as well as responding to security audits and logging. The specialist will also interpret server operational characteristics and ensure configurations align with industry best practices. This position is contingent upon contract award and requires a current Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform system software updates and patching.
• Monitor and maintain security compliance.
• Conduct Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) patching.
• Register systems with the DON Application and Database Management System (DADMS).
• Implement Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG).
• Respond to Communications Tasking Orders (CTO).
• Audit and log security activities and report findings.
• Evaluate security solutions for classified information processing.
• Assist in developing system security policy and compliance processes.

Requirements

• Five (5) years of experience with a Bachelor's degree or seven (7) years with a High School diploma/GED in Cybersecurity or related fields.
• Valid Secret Clearance security clearance.
• CompTIA Security+ certification.
• CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP) certification.
• Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) certification.
• Vendor/platform specific certification such as CISCO Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or CISCO Certified Network Professional (CCNP).
• Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF) process.

Nice-to-haves

• Information Assurance Management (IAM) certification.
• Information Assurance Technical (IAT) certification.
• Information Assurance System Architect and Engineer (IASAE) Level II or III certification.
