About the position

The ALIS Administrator role at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics involves operational support for the F-35 Lightning II fighter unit, focusing on the security and integrity of systems that ensure the aircraft's operational capabilities. This position requires a blend of system administration, data management, and network administration skills, with responsibilities that include troubleshooting, user interaction, and maintaining system performance. The role demands flexibility in working hours and the ability to travel for military deployments as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Interact daily with users and ALIS/LM leadership
  • Perform backups, restores, and disaster recovery of systems/databases/network equipment
  • Maintain system/database/software/firewall/account maintenance and monitoring
  • Install system-wide software and allocate mass storage space
  • Ensure smooth, secure operation of multi-user computer systems through coordination with peers, Tier 2, and engineers
  • Review processes/procedures and collect system operational data for analysis
  • Re-image laptops and troubleshoot account maintenance
  • Regularly monitor systems/applications for availability and performance

Requirements

  • Must have a Secret security clearance with investigation within the last 6 years
  • Ability to obtain and retain DoD IAT Level II certification (Security+, CySA+, or CCNA) within 60 days of hire
  • IT experience in system/database/network administration
  • Knowledge of Windows, SQL, and Cisco products

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience troubleshooting applications
  • Account maintenance with Active Directory/Oracle/CRM
  • Disaster recovery: backups and restores of physical servers, virtual machines, databases, and network equipment
  • Virtual Machine Management Service (Hyper-V / VMware)
  • Maintaining/upgrading system hardware and startup/shutdown of rack components
  • Applying updates, anti-virus/anti-spyware updates, and patch updates
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux System Administrator
  • Importing/Exporting large data volumes
  • Familiarity with Lockheed Martin products and processes, including the JSF ALIS hardware and software
