About the position

We are seeking an experienced Information Systems Analyst - Level IV to join our team in the DC, VA, MD area. This role involves conducting systems analysis, providing technical guidance, ensuring system security and compliance, and supporting incident investigation and documentation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems integration, technical documentation, and information assurance practices, with expertise in security tools and compliance standards. The position requires a proactive approach to managing and improving system security practices, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with various teams to ensure the integrity and functionality of complex computer and networking systems. As an Information Systems Analyst Senior, you will conduct and oversee systems analysis of complex computer and networking systems, ensuring that systems and peripherals operate correctly within predefined environments. You will work in conjunction with architecture, engineering, and sustainment teams to provide overall integration of systems peripherals for correct operation. Additionally, you will develop or assist in creating detailed technical documentation, including installation procedures, standard operating procedures, and knowledge base articles. Your role will also involve providing guidance and direction to Level II and Level III Information Systems Analysts, supervising and performing complex tasks independently with minimal oversight. You will support management and security for sites and networks, perform Basic Cyber Assessments using NIST SP 800-171 DoD Assessment Scoring Template, and enter assessment results in the Supplier Performance Risk System (SPRS). Analyzing and improving system security practices will be a key responsibility, as will assisting system owners and ISSOs in designing, developing, and writing certification and accreditation documentation. You will follow NIST and Risk Management Framework standards, administer security features for MAC3 and MAC2 environments, and conduct security reviews of new or modified systems to ensure a consistent security posture. Furthermore, you will manage security-related documentation and databases, assist in the detailed investigation and documentation of security incidents, and maintain and support all aspects of CAC login and PKI technology or other authorized two-factor identification systems. Your expertise in government scanning tools, such as Retina, AppDetective, and ACAS, will be essential, as will your support forensics analysis and Intrusion Prevention Systems.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • One or more of the following certifications: CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, or equivalent professional level certificate for supported technology.
