About the position

The Workday Platform Manager will lead the administration, optimization, and evolution of the Workday system within the Office of Performance and Innovation. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of Workday Human Capital Management (HCM), Finance, and related modules, while driving continuous improvement efforts to maximize the platform's potential. The manager will collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure the platform meets organizational needs and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day administration of the Workday platform, including system configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Manage system updates, releases, and patches to ensure efficient operation of Workday.
  • Gather and prioritize platform-related requirements from business units and ensure proper execution of changes.
  • Lead the change control process for Workday, managing system configurations and updates.
  • Create, modify, and optimize Workday reports and analytics in collaboration with functional teams.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational security policies and regulatory requirements related to user access and data protection.
  • Oversee the administration of Workday Time Tracking, ensuring proper configuration and issue resolution.
  • Act as a liaison between cross-functional departments to identify process improvement opportunities through Workday.
  • Manage integration of Workday with other internal systems and third-party applications.
  • Analyze Workday analytics and reporting tools to provide actionable insights.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Five years of progressively responsible experience in network design, system analysis, or related areas, including two years of supervisory experience.
  • Experience managing, configuring, and supporting Workday, with expertise in Workday HCM and Financials preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Workday platform architecture, configurations, and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in local government or public sector environments.
  • Workday certification(s) in relevant modules (e.g., HCM, Financials) are highly desirable.
