About the position

The Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) at ManTech will support the United States Air Force's 53rd Wing Technical Support Services contract at Eglin AFB. The role focuses on ensuring the security of information systems through risk management, security assessments, and compliance with government standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform system or network designs that encompass multiple Cloud hosting environments, including those with differing data protection/classification requirements.
  • Support ATO accreditation by analyzing security scans, organizational policies, and performing continuous monitoring.
  • Provide security planning, assessment, risk analysis, and risk management.
  • Recommend cybersecurity-enabled products to implement security measures that ensure confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, and non-repudiation.
  • Perform or review security assessments to identify IA vulnerabilities or non-compliances and recommend mitigations.
  • Validate and verify security requirements, establish security designs, and develop security architectures.
  • Work on project teams responsible for engineering and packaging releases to integrate within the customer's production IT environment.
  • Review, provide feedback, and help update/maintain SSP documentation.
  • Support security authorization activities in compliance with Government standards and the RMF.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years direct/related experience in information security.
  • Bachelor's degree in related discipline from an accredited college or university; 2 additional years of experience may substitute for a degree.
  • Active / valid DoD 8570.01-M IAT-II certification.
  • Experience using various IA tools in audit collection, audit review, audit management, and endpoint protection (ACAS, HBSS, McAfee ePO, ENS, DLP).
  • Experience with RMF, ICD 503, NIST SP800-53 or DCID 6/3, or knowledge of current authorization practices, particularly within the DoD is desired.
  • Experience with AWS Government Cloud and AWS Service offerings.
  • Experience with security efforts related to modern Windows, Linux, UNIX, Cisco, SQL or Oracle databases, and virtualized systems.
