About the position

BAE Systems is seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) and Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO) to oversee security operations and ensure compliance with US government security policies at a facility in Phoenix, AZ. The role involves managing cybersecurity and risk management frameworks, conducting audits, and providing training and guidance to personnel on security best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Facility Security Officer (FSO) with daily security operations and compliance with NISP/32 CFR Part 117.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure proper security policy implementation and safeguard classified materials.
  • Monitor compliance and conduct annual assessments.
  • Perform regular STIG checks to ensure proper security policy implementation.
  • Define and document security artifacts for the system.
  • Deliver Cybersecurity related briefings and training material.
  • Utilize Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) for Authorization to Operate (ATO) and maintenance of current ATOs and POA&Ms.
  • Conduct audit reviews including physical security, network and application, and password administration.
  • Implement and ensure compliance with government and company security policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of compliance standards supporting SSA and BAE Systems requirements.
  • Process new employee security clearances and public trust investigations.
  • Conduct periodic self-inspections on local processes to ensure compliance with SSA and NISPOM/32 CFR Part 117.
  • Conduct security awareness briefings and debriefings, including counterintelligence and suspicious contact reports.
  • Conduct investigations and complete Reports of Investigation (ROI) on all security matters.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems Management, or Management Information Technology.
  • 8 years of experience in security operations or equivalent experience.
  • Existing DoD SECRET Clearance.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Prior experience as an Information Systems Security Manager.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience with DISS, SIMS, eMASS, and NISS.
  • Previous experience working for a DoD contractor.
