About the position

The Information Systems Security Manager will lead the Cybersecurity team at RTX BBN Technologies in Columbia, MD, focusing on supporting various classified programs. This role involves developing, administering, and maintaining comprehensive security programs while ensuring compliance with cybersecurity requirements. The successful candidate will supervise a team of cybersecurity professionals and collaborate with various stakeholders to enhance the organization's cybersecurity posture.

Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision to a team of Cybersecurity professionals across RTX BBN sites.
  • Collect and report performance and effectiveness metrics as required.
  • Collaborate, support, and leverage services provided by other Cybersecurity Team members.
  • Comply with and support direction provided by the Project Managers to implement and sustain the Cybersecurity Program.
  • Collaborate with Information System Owners (ISOs), Information Systems Security Officers (ISSOs), and Program Managers to ensure required level of Cybersecurity support is being provided.
  • Partner with Program Security and Business Infrastructure (BI) organization to develop solutions and deploy standardized processes, procedures, and configurations.
  • Assist Cybersecurity Lead & other location ISSMs with Mission Area prioritization and needs.
  • Support the Organization's vision, strategy, and goals.
  • Lead and contribute to Cybersecurity projects and initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of experience managing and implementing security program requirements in a classified R&D environment or an additional 4 years of related experience in lieu of degree.
  • Obtain and maintain a Security professional certification commensurate with a DoD 8570.01-M IAM level III certified credentials (CISSP, CISM, GSLC or CCISO) within six months of hire date.
  • An active Top Secret - US security clearance.
  • Ability to obtain access to Special Access Programs.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiar with all, Expert in some TS/SCI with current poly US security clearance.
  • Experience in the oversight and execution of the Assessment & Authorization processes (Certification & Accreditation), as defined in JSIG/RMF.
  • Experience in the execution and management of Information System's (IS) incident response and administrative inquiries/investigations in collaboration with the investigations.
  • Experience in the oversight and execution of a continuous monitoring/improvement program.
  • Experience providing technical security expertise and oversight for complex, cross-domain, heterogeneous classified networked environments.
  • Experience working with the customer, both internal and external in the development of Basis of Estimates (BOE's) and contract negotiations.
  • Experience in professional engagements with internal and external customers.
