About the position

The Information Systems Security Manager, Process Research IV at ManTech is responsible for overseeing the security configuration and practices for research systems. This senior role involves conducting research, analyzing processes, and developing strategies to enhance the security posture of information systems. The manager ensures compliance with security controls, maintains system security documentation, and supervises junior personnel.

Responsibilities

• Ensure day-to-day implementation, oversight, continuous monitoring, and maintenance of security configuration for research systems.
• Conduct comprehensive research and analysis on trends, best practices, and emerging threats in information security.
• Provide liaison support between system owners and IS security personnel, ensuring security controls are implemented and operating as intended.
• Develop, maintain, review, and update system security documentation continuously.
• Conduct IS vulnerability scans according to risk assessment parameters.
• Monitor security controls to maintain security Authorized to Operate (ATO) status and develop Plan of Action and Milestones (POAMs) for identified vulnerabilities.
• Supervise and provide direction to junior personnel.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or other IT discipline.
• 7 years of position-specific relevant experience.
• DoD 8570 IAM level 2 certification.
• Familiarity with security tools such as Tenable Nessus, IBM Guardium, HP WebInspect, and Network Mapper (NMAP).

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or other IT discipline.
• Relevant industry standard certifications.
