About the position

The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for an Information Systems Security Manager to support our government customer located in San Antonio, Texas at Fort Sam Houston and partially remote. This position involves providing database stability and security to operating environments of the DoD Joint Trauma System (JTS) and includes various responsibilities related to database management, security compliance, and collaboration with other personnel to ensure secure operations of information systems.

Responsibilities

  • Provide database stability and security to operating environments of the DoD Joint Trauma System (JTS) including applications such as Oracle 10g/11g, Web Portals, Microsoft SQL Server, and Access.
  • Troubleshoot and work with software vendors, coordinate account permissions, security updates, and maintain network connectivity for JTS and worldwide JTS clients.
  • Report to the duty location for priority projects as required.
  • Create supporting documentation for all work efforts.
  • Provide database administrator support of Joint Trauma System databases and associated database interfaces capabilities.
  • Create procedures, scripts, and jobs to maintain linkage between datasets and JTS products.
  • Support testing of new database tables, procedures, and techniques to support access to database elements.
  • Configure and maintain Oracle software in collaboration with ISR Red Hat Linux server in a SIPR environment.
  • Ensure that Applications/Databases are Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) and Risk Management Framework compliant.
  • Establish baseline technical and management Information Assurance (IA) skills among personnel performing IA functions.
  • Work closely with data owners, information systems owners, and users to ensure secure use and operation of Information systems (IS) and networks.
  • Maintain configuration control of hardware, systems, and application software.
  • Identify and properly react to security anomalies or integrity loopholes causing system weaknesses or vulnerabilities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • ISSO/ISSM Experience required.
  • IAM Level I and Level II, and in Linux or Microsoft Access Oracle OR IAT II required.
  • Department of Defense cyber security experience.
  • Experience with DoD ATO, POAM and eMASS processes, procedures, and requirements.
  • Experience with DoDI 8510.01 Risk Management Framework (RMF) for DoD Information Systems.
  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience in information security.
  • Experience with incident response, risk assessment, and management.
  • Strong understanding of security trends and technologies.
  • Excellent communication and training skills.
  • Red Hat System Administration experience with Oracle.
  • ACAS experience.
