About the position

The Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) is responsible for managing, implementing, and overseeing cybersecurity programs and standards for the U.S. Fleet Forces Command (USFF). This role involves tracking and analyzing cybersecurity standards, conducting risk assessments, and developing remediation plans to address vulnerabilities in Department of the Navy systems, networks, and applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the management, implementation, and oversight of USFF CS programs, standards, and requirements.
• Provide tracking and analysis of CS standards and procedures, including policies, security requirements, audit findings, and remediation plans for vulnerabilities.
• Conduct risk assessments, risk mitigation analysis, and develop contingency plans for DoN systems, networks, and applications.
• Address Computer Network Defense (CND) guidance.
• Perform system and network vulnerability analysis.
• Develop and implement firewall policies.
• Manage ports and protocols to ensure network security.
• Work with VRAM (Vulnerability Remediation Asset Manager) for vulnerability tracking and management.

Requirements

• Five (5) years of experience in cybersecurity, including four (4) years of related CS and INFOSEC experience.
• Minimum of four (4) years of experience in CS analysis support, conducting risk assessments, risk mitigation analysis, and developing contingency plans.
• 1-2 years of experience working in/with VRAM.
• Demonstrated experience in knowledge of CS/INFOSEC concepts and requirements.
• Experience in addressing Computer Network Defense (CND) guidance.
• Experience in system/network vulnerability analysis.
• Experience in risk assessment and risk mitigation analysis.
• Experience in contingency planning.
• Experience in firewall policy development.
• Experience in management of ports and protocols.

• Familiarity with DoD and military environments.
