About the position

The Product Manager at Novo Nordisk is a pivotal role that focuses on leading the development of innovative IT solutions with a strong customer-centric approach. This position is integral to the Finance and Operations team, which serves as the backbone of the organization, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively and that operational excellence is achieved across the value chain. The Product Manager will be responsible for defining the product vision and roadmap, collaborating closely with various stakeholders, including business owners, end users, and Agile teams, to ensure that the product aligns with business goals and customer needs. In this role, the Product Manager will prepare and drive the definition of the product vision and roadmap, working with stakeholders to establish a clear direction for the product. They will build and maintain the Program Backlog, ensuring it is updated with input from Agile Teams and stakeholders. The Product Manager will also track leading indicators for features and account for business cases, cooperating with the Release Train Engineer and System Architect to manage budgets effectively. The position requires proactive ownership of the Agile Release Train (ART) deliveries, ensuring that the ART meets its commitments and that any challenges are addressed promptly. The Product Manager will lead the system demos, participate in PI planning, and contribute to all ART events, working collaboratively with other Product Managers and stakeholders to clarify dependencies and priorities. This role is essential for driving the product lifecycle management and ensuring quality in all deliveries through the definition of acceptance criteria and testing. Overall, the Product Manager will play a crucial role in fostering collaboration among various teams, ensuring that the product is viable and meets the needs of the business and its customers. Responsibilities

  • Prepare and drive the definition of product vision and roadmap
  • Work with stakeholders to establish the product vision and drive execution with the ART
  • Build the product/Program Increment (PI) roadmap and communicate it to ART and stakeholders
  • Track leading indicators for features and account for business cases
  • Cooperate with Release Train Engineer and System Architect to establish and follow up on budgets
  • Build, prioritize and maintain Program Backlog
  • Ensure that the Program Backlog is up to date with input from Agile Teams, System Architects and stakeholders
  • Elaborate on features and define ART guardrails and capacity allocations
  • Prepare the Program Backlog for PI planning to ensure execution of the roadmap
  • Align with stakeholders, implementers, and Agile Release Train (ART) to ensure product viability
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand key drivers for deliveries
  • Clarify and coordinate dependencies with other Product Managers, external stakeholders and Agile teams
  • Ensure the ART delivers according to its commitment and work with the ART on a daily basis
  • Show proactive ownership of the ART deliveries
  • Drive the ART Product Owner community and ensure proactive product lifecycle management
  • Handle/mitigate risks and dependencies on an ongoing basis
  • Ensure Business Owners collaboration and reporting
  • Ensure feature delivery according to agreements (Definition of Done)
  • Accept features throughout the PI in accordance with the Definition of Done
  • Help ensure quality in all deliveries and through definition of acceptance criteria and test
  • Coordinate releases and ensure organizational readiness and implementation
  • Understand 'technical enabler work' and prioritize accordingly
  • Contribute in ART events and work proactively with the Release Train Engineer
  • Prepare and participate in PI planning and PI execution
  • Lead the system demos and participate in the ART sync

Requirements

  • 7+ years' experience working within a Product Management or similar function within IT or innovation
  • Bachelor's degree in business, information systems, computer science, or related field preferred
  • Strong business insight and knowledge in relation to products and roadmaps
  • Ability to drive outcomes and seek new and innovative solutions
  • Experience navigating within a global organization
  • Proven track record of setting direction and communicating a purpose and vision to all levels of an organization
  • Experience with OneTrust strongly encouraged to apply
  • Working within a pharmaceutical or highly regulated environment
  • Experience working within a Data Privacy organization
  • 1+ year experience in Agile methodologies
