About the position

The Senior IT Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting and optimizing infrastructure services within NiSource. This position involves collaboration with various teams, including IT Service Delivery and IT Support Services, to ensure effective operations processes, manage service provider relationships, and drive resolution of operational issues. The analyst will also be responsible for data analysis related to spending patterns and performance metrics, contributing to budget forecasting and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with IT Service Delivery, IT Support Services, and business unit professionals to support operations processes.
• Help drive resolution of operational and service-based issues, reviewing and analyzing Service Provider operations.
• Prepare for and facilitate regular performance review meetings with Service Providers.
• Resolve or escalate issues related to operations in a timely manner.
• Track and monitor projects that meet business needs and adhere to service levels.
• Gather infrastructure services data on spending patterns for analysis and reporting.
• Review monthly/annual forecast of expenses for the IT Budget and analyze variances.
• Facilitate audits of processes related to Infrastructure Services.
• Ensure Service Providers adhere to NiSource's defined standards.
• Maintain understanding of Service Providers' operational and service delivery capabilities.

Requirements

• 5-7 years' experience in infrastructure services or infrastructure analysis, deployment and support.
• Four plus years of experience in medium-to-large Data Center operations.
• Four plus years of hands-on experience with Windows Server Administration, Active Directory Administration, VMWare vCenter administration, VMWare vRealize Automation, and VMWare vRealize Operations Automation.
• Experience working closely with service providers and delegating operational activities.
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure components, trends, and best practices.
• Solid skills with enterprise-class servers, operating systems, and productivity software.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
