About the position

The Information Technology (IT) Analyst at Obsidian Solutions Group (OSG) will support submarine Imaging, Electronic Warfare, Communication, Antennas, and Special Projects Systems. This role involves managing cybersecurity processes, conducting vulnerability assessments, and providing IT support services to ensure the security and functionality of program systems.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor vulnerability management scanning tools daily.
  • Identify risks for workstations, servers, networks, and applications using IA scanning techniques.
  • Propose solutions to mitigate identified risks.
  • Install, maintain, and integrate updates and fixes for hardware, operating systems, databases, and application software.
  • Harden and secure program systems according to applicable security guidelines and report compliance.
  • Perform periodic vulnerability scans on network information systems and remediate findings.
  • Provide Client Support Services for all program hardware and software packages.
  • Act as first responder for all facets of IT services including application and hardware support.
  • Provide software inventory updates and maintain program software licenses.
  • Perform updates to the program's SharePoint Online site pages.
  • Monitor performance, capacity, availability, and recoverability of all system assets.
  • Perform backups of specified program systems according to operating system tools.
  • Monitor cybersecurity management tools for suspicious activity and provide analysis.
  • Analyze and gather data for department-level cybersecurity metrics.
  • Perform electronic audits of IT and IA data for compliance with policies.
  • Conduct vulnerability testing and evaluation for IT and IA software applications.
  • Deliver Technical Reports, Analysis, Recommendations, and Expenditure Reports.

Requirements

  • Meets SECNAV M-5239.2 Appendix 4 requirements for System Administration at Intermediate or Advanced level.
  • CompTIA Cybersecurity certification: Security+ CE Certification or equivalent at IAT Level II.
  • Windows 10 or higher Operating System certification.
  • Windows Server 2016 or higher Operating System certification.
  • Experience configuring, deploying, operating, and maintaining Windows workstations and server operating systems.
  • Experience configuring, deploying, operating, and maintaining Linux operating systems.
  • Proficiency in hardening Windows environments and implementing DISA STIGs.
  • Experience providing IT/IA Customer Support Services.
  • Experience with SharePoint IT/IA administration.
  • Experience conducting vulnerability scanning and analysis.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Adobe, and Outlook.
  • Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with DoD unclassified and classified networks.
  • Five or more years of demonstrated experience.
