Creative Artists Agency (CAA) is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Management and Operations Analyst to join our dynamic Data team. This pivotal role is at the heart of our data-driven initiatives, supporting the execution and improvement of cutting-edge data strategies, operations, and processes. In this role, you will be actively involved in driving data product testing, contributing to exciting data projects, and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our data operations. As a Data Management and Operations Analyst, you will partner with data colleagues to develop and execute test cases for our award-winning suite of sophisticated data products. You will identify and document any data issues or inconsistencies, and work closely with data team leadership to understand and make recommendations that improve data quality and associated processes. You will also evaluate and implement testing automation strategies and tools, collaborating with senior team members across different groups to integrate testing processes. In addition to data product testing, you will contribute to strategic data projects by partnering with the team on planning, execution, and presentation of key data initiatives to colleagues across teams and senior leadership. You will gather and analyze data requirements for projects, collaborate with senior team members to align data activities with business goals, and break down business requests into user stories for Data Science, Analytics, and Engineering development. Your role will also involve working closely with data engineers, data scientists, data analysts, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive test coverage and participate in agile development activities such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. Furthermore, you will assist in analyzing current data management practices and make recommendations for improvement. You will monitor daily data tasks to ensure accurate data flow and participate in efforts to standardize data practices across teams. This role is based in our New York, NY office and offers a hybrid work environment, allowing for flexibility in your work schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with data colleagues to develop and execute test cases for data products.
  • Identify and document any data issues or inconsistencies.

  • Participate in efforts to standardize data practices across teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Internship and/or 1-3 years of experience in data analysis, data operations, consulting, product management, QA, or a related area.
  • Familiarity with building and analyzing dashboards via Data Visualization tools like PowerBI.
  • Basic understanding of data management tools and familiarity with programming concepts.
  • Familiarity with Product Management tools (ADO, Jira) and frameworks (Agile, Scaled Agile).
  • Willingness to learn and work with data testing tools and automation basics.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot data inconsistencies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Advanced presentation skills (Canva/PowerPoint).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with data visualization and reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of data governance and data quality best practices.
  • Familiarity with machine learning concepts and applications.

Benefits

  • Annual base salary in the range of $67,000 - $75,000.
  • Eligible for benefits and discretionary bonus.
