This position is integral to providing technical architecture and design leadership that supports IT initiatives in cloud computing and automation across the HMH network. The engineer is responsible for ensuring that critical cloud applications are designed for reliability, high availability, and disaster recovery. This role encompasses a wide range of activities necessary for designing, implementing, maintaining, and continuously automating a large, complex cloud-based computing environment. The IT Cloud Engineer IV will provide technical guidance to team members and serve as a liaison between internal departments when necessary. This includes designing, configuring, implementing, and supporting a fully automated workflow for provisioning and maintaining a complex, highly available cloud environment using infrastructure as code. The engineer will also be responsible for enabling DevOps development activities and participating in cloud computing environment build-outs, software installation, maintenance, and support.
