About the position

The Information Technology (IT) Generalist position at V2X involves providing on-site technical expertise in alignment with the organization's IT and cybersecurity policies. This role is critical for operating and maintaining various mission, local, and enterprise information systems, ensuring a strong cybersecurity posture, and supporting a wide array of IT systems and applications. The position requires U.S. Citizenship and an active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain mission, local, and enterprise information systems.
  • Support a wide array of mission IT systems, applications, and services including desktop operating systems, workstations, thin clients, and network devices.
  • Conduct general operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of information systems.
  • Provide on-site expertise for facility monitoring systems such as alarm systems, business telephone systems, and video surveillance.
  • Maintain a strong cybersecurity posture by applying patches and mitigating vulnerabilities.
  • Respond to data calls from senior leadership.

Requirements

  • Four or more years of IT experience in desktop administration, network administration, server administration, or service desk technician roles.
  • Experience deploying, patching, managing, and maintaining Microsoft Windows or Linux enterprise systems.
  • Ability to provide physical and/or virtual desktop support services across various platforms and applications.
  • Independently troubleshoot and resolve system errors, bugs, and configurations.
  • Create accounts/objects in Active Directory and apply configurations through Group Policy Objects.
  • Conduct vulnerability mitigation and maintain information system security posture through DISA STIGs.
  • Manage Microsoft and third-party application software installation and lifecycle management.
  • Work with remote monitoring and management tools to troubleshoot issues across a globally dispersed IT enterprise.
  • Meet minimum credential requirements for a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity workforce (CSWF) position.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new and changing technology.

  • Experience with facility/alerting notification systems.
  • Experience with Private Branch Exchange business telephone systems.
  • Experience with access control and video surveillance systems.
