About the position

The ideal IT Support Technician will provide technical assistance and support to end-users, ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems, software, and hardware. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, a strong customer service orientation, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The technician will be responsible for delivering first-level technical support services to Bahnson employees via phone, email, or in-person. This includes providing training and guidance to employees on best practices and IT policies, as well as installing, configuring, and maintaining operating systems, software applications, and hardware components using tools like SCCM/Autopilot. The technician will also set up workstations and support security access and permissions for all ERP systems. In addition to these responsibilities, the IT Support Technician will document and track Help Desk Requests, resolutions, and follow-up actions. Collaboration with Senior IT team members will be essential to resolve complex technical issues. The technician will assist in managing Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs) and security patching on endpoints, ensuring that Corporate Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are followed for all current and future IT policies. The role may also involve performing special projects and other duties as assigned, as well as assisting the IT Manager with IT Disaster Recovery Plans.

Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain security access and permissions for all ERP systems.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Some knowledge of computer, networking, and mobile devices, Microsoft products including Windows 10 & 11, Server 2016+, O365, Teams, and Active Directory.
