About The Position
This position serves as team manager with the responsibility for administrating daily backup/recovery server operations for the State of Michigan. The position is responsible for backup/recovery server hardware, operating system and system software support. The position's responsibilities include management of implementation of new backup/recovery server architecture installation and configuration of backup/recovery servers; backup/recovery server monitoring and performance management; backup/recovery server security; installation of non-operating system software; establishing best practices for backup/recovery server management; manage multiple projects; identify trends in backup/recovery server management and recommend and implement new technologies.
