About the position
The Information Technology Manager position at the Department of Technology, Management and Budget (DTMB) in Lansing, MI, is responsible for overseeing IT resources related to Salesforce and Microsoft D365 for the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA). This role involves leading a development team focused on system development, programming, troubleshooting, and system management, ensuring that the objectives of LARA are met. The manager will act as a liaison between DTMB and LARA, addressing customer needs and expectations while fostering a collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development team responsible for Salesforce and Microsoft D365 maintenance and project efforts.
- Ensure the objectives and goals of the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs are accomplished.
- Manage system development, programming, troubleshooting, and system management for IT systems supporting LARA.
- Serve as the liaison between DTMB and LARA, meeting customer needs and expectations.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with clients and team members.
Requirements
- Possession of a bachelor's degree with at least 21 semester credits in relevant fields such as computer science, data processing, or IT project management.
- Three years of professional experience equivalent to an Information Technology Infrastructure, Programmer/Analyst, or IT Project Coordinator P11, or one year equivalent to P12.
- Experience as a computer programming supervisor or Information Technology Supervisor may substitute for education and experience.
