About the position

Under the general direction of the Deputy Director, Administration (CEA B), the Information Technology Manager I serves as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and is responsible for the overall management of the information technology resources for the Office of Tax Appeals (OTA). The CIO directs the planning, organization, and implementation of enterprise IT services and systems, in support of OTA's business operations to improve cost effectiveness, service quality, and business development. The incumbent is responsible for supervising all levels of IT staff in a combination of domains.

Responsibilities

• Direct the planning, organization, and implementation of enterprise IT services and systems.
• Manage overall information technology resources for the Office of Tax Appeals.
• Supervise all levels of IT staff across various domains.
• Support OTA's business operations to improve cost effectiveness and service quality.

Requirements

• Must meet the minimum qualifications for the Information Technology Manager I.
• Certification (reachable) list eligibility, transfer eligibility, Limited Examination and Appointment Program (LEAP) eligibility, reinstatement rights, and/or State Restriction of Appointments (SROA) eligibility.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of personnel management, supervision, and training.
• Working knowledge of IT domains such as business technology management, client services, information security, IT project management, software engineering, and systems/network engineering.
• Demonstrated experience supervising a team of IT professionals.
