About the position

GovCIO is seeking a fully remote Information Technology Manager to lead the IT department, ensuring the effective implementation and maintenance of policies that support the organization's IT needs. This role involves overseeing the information processing system, managing upgrades, and assisting business operations in utilizing information systems to enhance efficiency. The IT Manager will also ensure that all computer equipment, hardware, and software are updated to meet organizational requirements while leading and directing the work of others.

Responsibilities

• Manages the Information Technology Department
• Implements and maintains policies and goals that support the organization's IT needs
• Ensures proper functioning of the information processing system and oversees necessary upgrades
• Helps business operations groups utilize information systems to improve their efficiency
• Ensures computer equipment, hardware, and software are updated to meet organizational needs
• Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures
• Performs a variety of tasks as needed
• Leads and directs the work of others

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience in the field (or commensurate experience)
• Ability to maintain a public trust clearance
