The Information Technology Officer (Chief Information Security Officer) position is a critical role within the Hawaii State Judiciary, located in Honolulu, O`ahu. This position is responsible for leading the Judiciary's information security program, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and aligning security practices with the organization's risk posture. As the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), the incumbent will work collaboratively with various divisions and programs to implement security policies and standards effectively. The role involves overseeing IT-related risk management activities, developing and maintaining business continuity and disaster recovery plans, and supporting the Director of the Information Technology and Systems Department in assurance activities related to the integrity and confidentiality of information. The CISO must possess a deep understanding of the business environment to maintain secure and functional information systems. The position requires a proactive approach to identifying, evaluating, and reporting on information security risks. The CISO will work closely with senior management to establish acceptable risk levels and ensure that the Judiciary's information security policies are adhered to.
