The Inland Empire Utilities Agency (IEUA/Agency) serves approximately 935,000 residents in western San Bernardino County and is proud of our reputation of promoting greater water supply reliability through significant contributions to a diverse regional water supply portfolio, including water from stormwater capture, recycling and reuse, and imported water supplies. Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, control, integrate, and evaluate the work of the assigned programs and staff.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor work plans to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Contribute to the development of and monitor performance against the annual department budget.
  • Supervise and participate in developing, implementing, and evaluating plans, work processes, systems, and procedures to achieve annual goals, objectives, and work standards.
  • Manage the performance of assigned staff, including interviewing and selecting new staff, establishing performance requirements, and providing coaching for performance improvement.
  • Participate in the formulation and implementation of departmental policy, planning, and strategy development.
  • Lead and direct staff and outside consulting resources in the development and application of new methods and processes to achieve higher efficiency, quality, and innovation in departmental work processes.
  • Serve as the Agency's subject matter expert for enterprise resource planning and related business systems.
  • Troubleshoot for other departments, researching and answering questions regarding areas of responsibility.
  • Manage the budget for assigned functional area, including assisting in the development and monitoring of budget documents.

Requirements

  • 7 years of experience with ERP systems at a senior level.
  • Strong leadership and management skills to oversee IT professionals and projects.
  • Ability to collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to improve business processes.
  • Expertise in information technology management and strategic planning.
  • Excellent communication skills to represent the Agency to various stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with AI technologies and their application in business processes.
  • Knowledge of water resource management and environmental sustainability practices.
