The Inland Empire Utilities Agency (IEUA/Agency) serves approximately 935,000 residents in western San Bernardino County and is proud of our reputation of promoting greater water supply reliability through significant contributions to a diverse regional water supply portfolio, including water from stormwater capture, recycling and reuse, and imported water supplies. Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, manage, and implement the Agency's technology programs, especially ERP and related business systems.
  • Lead a team of IT professionals and collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to develop efficient business processes.
  • Deploy innovative technologies such as AI to achieve the Agency's strategic goals.
  • Supervise and review the work of IT professionals, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Conduct complex analysis and serve as a subject-matter expert in areas of assignment.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with other Agency departments, external consultants, and contractors.
  • Manage the performance of assigned staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Develop and monitor work plans to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  • Manage the budget for assigned functional areas, including tracking expenditures and preparing budget variance reports.
  • Serve as a department or Agency representative to communicate policies and resolve issues regarding information technology programs.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in computer information systems, business, public administration, accounting, or a closely related field.
  • At least seven years of related experience in performing information technology administration and programs.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is highly desired.
  • Advanced technical knowledge of enterprise resource management, asset management, and various software systems applicable to the area of assignment.
  • Knowledge of public agency information technology administration and programs.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a public agency is preferred.
  • Laboratory experience is a plus.
