About the position

The Information Technology (IT) Project Manager at Empower Pharmacy is responsible for driving impactful initiatives by ensuring that multiple projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives. This role emphasizes collaboration, resource optimization, and risk management while maintaining compliance with Project Management Office (PMO) standards. The IT Project Manager will foster continuous improvement and support the company's mission of producing innovative medications that promote healthier lives and expand access to affordable healthcare solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Manages multiple projects concurrently, developing detailed project plans, allocating resources, and ensuring on-time, within-scope, and on-budget delivery while resolving issues and mitigating risks.
  • Collaborates with key stakeholders to define objectives, communicate progress, and align initiatives with strategic priorities, fostering strong relationships to ensure project support.
  • Oversees resource management, addressing constraints, securing necessary support from functional managers, and optimizing project staffing for smooth execution.
  • Implements and enforces PMO standards, methodologies, and best practices, providing training and guidance to project managers and team members to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Monitors portfolio performance through key metrics and assessments, conducting post-implementation reviews to identify lessons learned, drive continuous improvement, and align IT initiatives with business goals.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience, focusing on implementing sales and marketing projects.
  • At least 2 years working with business systems, mapping processes, identifying business cases, and leading teams to deliver organizational value.
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field required.
  • Master of Business Administration or relevant certification preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • PRINCE2 (Foundation or Practitioner) certification.
  • Six Sigma (Green Belt, Black Belt, or higher) certification.
  • Agile (Project Management Institute - Agile Certified Practitioner, International Consortium for Agile - Agile Certified Professional, or equivalent) certification.
  • Scrum (Certified ScrumMaster, Professional Scrum Master, or equivalent) certification.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the healthcare or pharmacy industry preferred.
  • Strong understanding of sales, marketing, and project management frameworks (e.g., PMBOK, Six Sigma, Agile).
  • Proficiency in tools like Microsoft Project, JIRA, and Asana.
