About the position

Serves as an IT Project Manager (Policy and Planning) for the Joint Activities located at Fort Liberty, North Carolina. The position involves planning, coordinating, and directing the execution of air, land, and ship communications for joint special operations and exercises. The IT Project Manager will represent the Operations Division at senior level meetings and provide recommendations for overall goals and priorities in coordination with senior leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing the execution of air, land, and ship communications for joint special operations and exercises.
  • Represents the Operations Division at senior level meetings, conferences, work groups, and other professional meetings.
  • Provides recommendations for overall goals and priorities in coordination with the CHOPS and Operations Sergeants Major.
  • Participates in and manages the Joint Remediation Action Plan for tasks assigned to the Communications Directorate.
  • Serves as the Division Rep for various Directorate sustainment work groups.
  • Reviews work of subordinate sections and team chiefs for adequacy and compliance with instructions or policy.
  • Provides oversight and continuity in the day-to-day management of the Operations Division.
  • Assigns and reviews work to be performed by subordinate personnel, establishes performance standards, and evaluates performance.

Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret Security Clearance with SCI access.
  • Must successfully pass urinalysis testing prior to employment and periodically thereafter.
  • May require Temporary Duty (TDY) travel to various locations approximately 10% of the time.
  • Must reside within a 50-mile radius of duty location.
  • Must obtain and maintain an IAM Level III certification within twelve months of employment.
  • Must obtain and maintain Passport Agent Certification through the Department of State.
  • Appointment is subject to a one-year probationary period.
