About the position

The Information Technology Project Manager (Systems/Analysis) position within the Department of Defense is responsible for planning, evaluating, coordinating, and documenting project actions to support the Project Director. The role involves conducting feasibility and scope analysis for IT projects, identifying and documenting configuration items, and managing project costs against schedules. This position requires a strong understanding of project management principles and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Plan actions to evaluate, coordinate, document, and obtain approval or disapproval for project actions.
  • Conduct IT project feasibility and scope analysis based on customer-supplied functional requirements.
  • Identify and document functional and logical characteristics of approved configuration items.
  • Document specifications of project costs against project schedules.

Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • Must meet the Information Assurance Management Level 1 Certification within 6 months of employment.
  • One year of specialized experience in project management support during the planning, development, testing, and implementation of new systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with risk management and variance analysis in IT projects.
  • Familiarity with configuration management processes.
