About the position

The Information Technology Project Manager at M&T Bank is responsible for managing high-priority projects that impact multiple business areas or complex projects requiring significant resources and integration. This role involves leading project teams, developing project plans, and ensuring successful execution while adhering to company standards and risk management policies. The position offers a hybrid work schedule, allowing for flexibility in work arrangements while fostering collaboration among team members.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct high priority projects impacting three or more businesses or functions.
• Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques.
• Develop project plans, forecasts, and schedules in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Record detailed project requirements, constraints, and assumptions to establish deliverables.
• Communicate project plans to affected parties to ensure common understanding and alignment.
• Monitor and control project work, including change controls and performance measurement.
• Implement approved actions to mitigate project risks and improve team performance.
• Ensure adherence to the company's risk and regulatory standards and internal control standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 4 years' proven project management experience, or a combined minimum of 8 years' higher education and/or work experience including 4 years' project management experience.
• Experience leading data center migration teams and application migration to cloud.
• Proficiency with personal computers and pertinent software packages.
