About the position

Insight Global is seeking an IT Project Manager/Business Analyst to support various technical projects within a utility client's IT department. This role will be pivotal as the first Project Manager on the IT team, responsible for managing projects across multiple departments including engineering, finance, and accounting. The position requires effective communication skills to interact with team members at all levels, from entry-level staff to C-suite executives, and involves a variety of project types such as ERP migrations, system upgrades, and training sessions.

Responsibilities

• Report to the VP of IT and Director of Application regarding project expectations and career goals.
• Collaborate with stakeholders in internal departments to define project scopes, objectives, technologies, and deliverables.
• Assist in building a project portal for project submissions and approvals.
• Vet vendor partners for services and technology.
• Manage multiple types of projects including migrations, upgrades, and dashboard build-outs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience as an IT project manager or technical business analyst.
• Experience supporting multiple projects across an organization.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of energy and utilities.
• PMP certification or in the process of obtaining it.
• Experience with Scrum project management and as a product owner.
• Familiarity with SQL, Salesforce, ETL, SAP, BI, and PowerBi.
