About the position

The Information Technology Project Manager will oversee projects within the Command Operations Department, Information Systems Division of Fleet Readiness Center Southwest. This role involves serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in data warehousing and corporate reporting, managing project budgets, ensuring compliance with IT processes, and conducting analytical studies to meet customer needs.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for CRS, data warehousing, and integrated data environment.
  • Manage the review, design, development, documentation, and implementation of projects related to data warehousing and corporate reporting.
  • Prepare, justify, and administer the budget for various data warehousing and corporate reporting projects.
  • Monitor expenditures to ensure projects are accomplished within budget.
  • Solve problems and take corrective action when issues arise affecting cost, quality, and schedule.
  • Ensure compliance with security, Organization Standard Software Process (OSSP), and other applicable rules and regulations.
  • Conduct analytical studies and cost-benefit analyses to identify resource requirements and projected costs.
  • Work with customers to assess their needs and provide information or assistance to resolve their problems.

Requirements

  • At least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
  • Experience ensuring projects adhere to Navy ERP technical, environmental, and architectural standards.
  • Experience coordinating requirements definitions, scope, and final delivery of products with sponsors and users.
  • Experience conducting cost, schedule, quality, risk, communication, and contract management for assigned projects.
  • Experience developing and managing project plans for complex system design projects.

Nice-to-haves

  • Degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management.
  • Degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in relevant fields.
