The Sourcing Analyst position is a critical role within the technology procurement team, located in Dallas, TX, and operates on a hybrid work model. This role is designed to support various technology procurement processes, which encompass the review of procurement documents, approval routing, and purchase order (PO) processing. The categories of procurement include technology hardware, software, and services, making it essential for the analyst to have a strong understanding of these areas. The Sourcing Analyst will be responsible for managing relationships with vendors and building strong partnerships with business groups to ensure effective collaboration and communication throughout the procurement process. In this role, the Sourcing Analyst will draft contract documents as needed, including contract amendments, and will support the sourcing process from bid preparation to contract execution. This involves partnering with subject matter experts from various business teams to document requirements and ensure compliance with company policies. The analyst will also provide assistance and problem-solving support for the team and stakeholders, leading process reviews and improvements for sourcing and procurement processes when required. A key responsibility will be to review contract files to ensure that all documentation is accurate and complete, which is vital for maintaining compliance and operational efficiency. The position requires a proactive approach to managing multiple simultaneous projects, necessitating frequent communication, organization, time management, and problem-solving skills. The Sourcing Analyst will be expected to develop and manage technology RFPs or sourcing processes with minimal support, overseeing projects from start to finish for simple to medium complexity. This includes conducting market research, developing RFPs, managing communications, and ensuring stakeholder involvement. Evaluating vendor bid responses both quantitatively and qualitatively, as well as performing RFP analysis using spreadsheets and other tools, will also be part of the role. An in-depth understanding of best-in-class procurement processes, including sourcing, contracting, and negotiation, is essential for success in this position.
