About the position

The Information Technology Technical Project Manager at Puyenpa will oversee a range of systems engineering and technical initiatives, particularly focusing on testing, implementation, and deployment within the Department of Homeland Security. This role requires strong project management skills, utilizing PMP and Agile methodologies, and involves collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure project success.

Responsibilities

  • Provide project management for systems engineering and technical initiatives, focusing on testing, implementation, and deployment.
  • Manage projects related to Voice, Radio, and Wireless communications, including Mobile Device Management, VoIP, RoIP, and circuit management.
  • Utilize PMP and Agile methodologies to manage projects and leverage project tracking applications.
  • Participate in requirements gathering and documentation processes.
  • Engage in project planning and execution activities, including control gates.
  • Maintain individual project schedules and forecasts.
  • Collaborate with technical resources, engineering teams, developers, mission partners, and senior officials.
  • Communicate effectively to ensure understanding of deadlines, assignments, and objectives among project stakeholders.
  • Identify risks and document project progress, including timelines, issues, risks, quality, and success measures.
  • Execute a Project Management Plan that supports a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) for project activities.

Requirements

  • PMP, Agile, ITIL or other related certifications (optional, but preferred).
  • Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field, or relevant experience.
  • 4+ years of direct project management experience.
  • Proficient in project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.
  • Experience in the development, testing, integration, implementation, and deployment of Voice, Radio, and Cellular communication systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Enterprise-level circuit management.
  • Top Secret clearance preferred.
