The Information Technology Technician I - Classroom Support position at Villanova University is designed for students to provide essential technological assistance in classroom settings. Technicians will support professors and presenters by troubleshooting issues, guiding them on equipment usage, and maintaining classroom technology. Responsibilities

• Answering phone calls made to the Classroom Support Hotline.
• Working alongside CTS staff to provide support to university faculty, staff, and sometimes fellow students.
• Assessing and resolving reported issues in the classroom.
• Guiding professors and presenters on how to use classroom equipment.
• Troubleshooting hardware and software issues in classroom equipment.
• Writing classroom activity reports describing issues and solutions.
• Assisting with equipment inventory and maintenance during downtime.
• Replacing broken classroom media equipment when applicable.
• Maintaining and updating Crestron software.

Requirements

• Excellent written and oral communication skills, particularly in customer service contexts.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to cultivate positive work relationships.
• Working knowledge of media equipment operation and interfacing.
• Well-developed problem-solving skills.
• High degree of adaptability.
• Working knowledge of Windows, macOS, Zoom, and PowerPoint.
