About the position

The position involves providing comprehensive IT support across four office locations. The primary responsibilities include general desktop and printer support, as well as network support. The role requires system administration and maintenance, ensuring that all IT systems are functioning optimally. The individual will also support the contractor NetworkIT, which includes managing routers, switches, and cabling. In detail, the responsibilities include monitoring networks to ensure optimal performance and addressing any issues that may hinder network efficiency. The technician will be responsible for installing workstations, laptops, and other IT equipment, including printers and copiers, as well as operating systems and cloud-based software. Ensuring seamless communication between computers, laptops, and servers within the network is crucial. Additionally, the role involves providing support to staff by assisting with computer-related problems and training them on new systems and software. The technician will assist with server installations and maintenance, which includes running system checks, performing backups, and ensuring that antivirus programs are operational and up-to-date. Responsibilities also extend to installing network cabling, routers, and switches, as well as supporting the VoIP phone system. Providing technical support and training to staff, troubleshooting to isolate problems, and addressing other IT issues as assigned are also key components of this role.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Ability to establish and maintain working relationships.
  • Preferred certifications include CCNA, CCNP, and Microsoft certifications.
  • Education and experience equivalent to 5 years in an IT role.
