About the position

The Information Technology Technician Level 1 at American Care Medical Centers is responsible for providing technical support, computer repair, and installation of various hardware and software systems. This role involves assisting users with desktop support, managing data, and ensuring the functionality of network equipment. The technician will also be responsible for updating supervisors on project statuses and technical issues, exercising judgment in problem-solving, and determining when to escalate issues to higher levels of support.

Responsibilities

  • Installing and configuring workstation hardware and operating systems.
  • Installing workstation software applications and updates.
  • Installing security software, such as antivirus and anti-spam.
  • Installing and repairing Ethernet and fiber optic cabling.
  • Installing network equipment including access points, cameras, tablets, and routers.
  • Providing timely technical support across the company over the phone and in person.

Requirements

  • High school and/or technical school education.
  • 1 to 3 years of help desk support and hardware installation experience.
  • Well-developed communication skills and familiarity with Local Area Networks (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN).
  • Familiarity with firewall and VPN concepts.

Nice-to-haves

  • An earned bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • An IT Certification from an accredited institution.
