About the position

The Infotainment Development Engineer will lead the development of hardware and software technologies for Honda vehicles, focusing on enhancing comfort, safety, and user experience. This role is integral to creating a top-class infotainment platform with an emphasis on Connected Autonomous Shared Electrification (C.A.S.E.) and quality. The engineer will engage in hands-on testing, supplier management, documentation, requirements capture, analysis, project management, and strategic planning to drive innovation and improvement in infotainment systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform actual hands-on performance testing including developing unique requirements on system components and vehicle testing to guarantee product acceptance.
  • Support maturation testing to cover different configurations of components to ensure all variations work correctly.
  • Direct Honda selected suppliers to design and manage the component to maturation schedule requirements.
  • Write clear and concise reports, presentations and/or technical documents to document development activities and communicate with Technical Experts.
  • Recognize and specify critical functional requirements for infotainment system components to match customer demands.
  • Develop, write, and issue specification requirements for system components.
  • Analyze & interpret test results, predict performance/failure and provide required product/design data.
  • Effectively communicate the development schedule and report status of component functions to different company areas/departments.
  • Research and influence the future path and trends of infotainment system architecture, features/functions, and efficient development methods.
  • Propose, develop, and justify any new functions to meet market requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
  • 0-3 years of related experience.
