About the position

The Infrastructure Architect at Pollo Tropical is responsible for the design, implementation, administration, and support of the organization's network and telecom systems, servers, and storage. This role ensures the 24x7 operation of data centers and network connectivity across corporate offices and restaurants, while indirectly managing the IT Network/Infrastructure team. The position requires a strategic approach to technology infrastructure, focusing on customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement network and telecom infrastructure for corporate offices, data centers, and restaurants.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and 24x7 availability of technology infrastructure.
• Manage infrastructure projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
• Partner with vendors to optimize quality and cost efficiency in a cloud environment.
• Oversee Managed Service Provider (MSP) execution of IT operations and security monitoring.
• Participate in IT strategy planning and provide insights on infrastructure technology and best practices.
• Consult with engineers and business partners to capture requirements for enterprise projects.
• Document architectural designs and operational installation procedures for infrastructure services.
• Establish and enforce configuration standards and policies for infrastructure hardware.
• Oversee the deployment and management of infrastructure hardware, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Identify and resolve issues with network equipment in a timely manner.
• Manage the development and maintenance of infrastructure documentation, including network diagrams and inventories.
• Lead the ongoing development and support of OS hardening standards and configuration validation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• At least 6 years of relevant infrastructure architecture experience.
• Experience in vendor management and stakeholder management.
• CCNA/CCNP certification or equivalent experience preferred.
• MCSA: Windows Server 2019, MCSE: Infrastructure or equivalent experience preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networking technologies.
• Expertise in TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, RADIUS, SMTP, FTP, and VOIP protocols.
• Experience managing a large distributed enterprise network of 250+ sites and 2,000+ nodes.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in the restaurant or retail industry where IT operations are critical.
• Knowledge of Fortinet and Cisco networking equipment.
• Experience with system recovery, backup processes, and disaster recovery planning.
