About the position

The Infrastructure Automation Engineer will lead the implementation of Commercial off-the-Shelf (COTS) IT infrastructure automation solutions, ensuring they meet project requirements and deliver business value. This role involves managing the entire System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), overseeing hybrid cloud projects, and engaging with stakeholders to ensure project alignment and success. The engineer will also focus on process optimization and continuous improvement, utilizing Agile methodologies to enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of COTS IT infrastructure automation solutions.
  • Manage vendor coordination for seamless integration with project goals.
  • Build one-click, self-service infrastructure and data resource provisioning solutions.
  • Oversee all phases of the SDLC, focusing on automation and process optimization.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans and timelines.
  • Lead the planning and execution of hybrid cloud projects.
  • Utilize Agile methodologies to manage project scope and deliverables.
  • Engage with stakeholders to align project goals and manage expectations.
  • Establish effective communication plans for global team collaboration.
  • Document project activities, decisions, risks, and issues.
  • Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues.
  • Resolve technical challenges using automation tools like Microsoft Power Automate.
  • Lead a technical team, providing guidance and support for project delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with governance frameworks and industry best practices.
  • Implement process optimization strategies to drive efficiency.
  • Stay current with industry trends and integrate innovations into project practices.

Requirements

  • Ten years of experience managing the full system development lifecycle.
  • Eight years of project management experience leading large project initiatives.
  • Eight years of experience with Agile/Hybrid methodologies.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) Certification.
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Mathematics, or related field.
