About the position
The Infrastructure Automation Lead at Capgemini is responsible for leading a small, agile development team focused on infrastructure automation. This role involves architecting and developing automation solutions, collaborating with other teams to enhance their automation capabilities, and promoting best practices in software engineering across the IT organization. The successful candidate will leverage their strong technical expertise and leadership skills to drive innovation and transformation in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a small, agile development team in achieving automation goals.
- Architect and develop automation solutions for internal IT products and services.
- Collaborate with other teams to enable automation of their respective processes.
- Evangelize good software engineering practices across the IT organization.
- Drive innovation and transformation within the team and organization.
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of experience in infrastructure automation and development.
- Strong software engineering experience and development skills.
- In-depth knowledge of infrastructure automation and platform engineering.
- Experience with DevSecOps methodologies and practices.
- Familiarity with Domain Driven Design (DDD) and Product Oriented IT.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Experience with automation tools like Ansible and Windows Desired State Configuration (DSC).
- Knowledge of cloud environments, including Azure and AWS.
- Understanding of TCP/IP Networking, DNS, Firewalls, and other network protocols.
- Experience with Git source control and CI/CD pipelines.
Nice-to-haves
- 10+ years of experience in a senior leadership role.
- Relevant industry certifications, such as AWS or Azure certifications.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Experience with project management methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall.
