About the position

The Infrastructure Business Systems Analyst will play a crucial role in the planning and execution of pilot projects related to the migration of systems and processes within the organization. This position requires a self-starter who can define the scope and nature of various pilots, ensuring effective communication with pilot users and setting clear expectations. The analyst will work closely with the UX team to create messages and determine the timing of communications directed at end users, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the process. A significant part of the role involves collaboration with IT teams across all locations to define their schedules within the Master Migration Schedule. The analyst will need to assess the limits and capacities for nightly migrations, taking into account network and support limits. They will also be responsible for communicating general scope parameters for batch creation to internal teams and coordinating with local IT to address any exceptions or issues that arise during the migration process. The analyst will take a strategic approach to VIP migrations, ensuring that both operational and other VIPs are handled with care. Participation in Quarterly IT Shop Win11 Meetings and Monthly Q&A Sessions facilitated by the central IT team is also expected, providing an opportunity to share insights and gather feedback on ongoing projects. The role demands a careful and methodical approach to documentation, including business, functional, and technical requirements, as well as use and test cases to ensure traceability and compliance with established standards.

Responsibilities

  • Define scope and nature of pilot(s)
  • Communicate with pilot users, setting expectations, etc.
  • Define/refine role of floor walker, including responsibilities and process
  • Collaborate with UX team for message creation and timing of end user communications
  • Work with IT at all locations to define their schedule within the Master Migration Schedule
  • Determine limits/capacity for nightly migration
  • Communicate with internal teams regarding general scope parameters for batch creation
  • Coordinate with local IT for remediation of exceptions/issues from stakeholders
  • Work with local IT, help desk, or OMI to remediate any issues on migration
  • Strategically coordinate VIP migration for both OpCom and other VIPs
  • Participate in Quarterly IT Shop Win11 Meetings and Monthly Q&A Sessions

Requirements

  • Self-starter, capable of initiating plans/actions without waiting for direction from other teams
  • Ability to quickly and clearly communicate and collaborate with stakeholders, Client Engineering, local IT, floor walkers, etc.
  • Ability to assess and balance multiple priorities when creating migration schedules
  • Basic understanding of all aspects of the standard infrastructure processes
  • Ability to decompose business requirements into functional and technical requirements
  • Ability to use activity, sequence and/or data flow diagrams to identify performance requirements
  • Experience writing Use Cases
  • Ability to analyze and document business and system processes
  • Ability to perform a gap analysis using business process diagrams, data models, and requirements
  • Ability to locate the cause of problems in business process flows
  • Ability to identify problems and gaps at the program or system level and recommend alternative solutions
  • Ability to identify test data based on business requirements, system requirements, system documentation, and end-user documentation
  • High level of skill with MS Office tools including Visio and Excel
