About the position

As an Infrastructure Configuration Consultant at PNC, you will play a critical role in supporting various desktop operating systems, primarily focusing on Windows. This position involves incident detection, resolution, and escalation, as well as participation in root cause analysis. You will maintain in-depth knowledge of supported systems and applications, serve as a point of escalation for Level 1 and Level 2 resources, and perform application governance tasks. The role requires a strong understanding of project management principles and involves providing technical support to operational teams. Additionally, you will act as a print hardware expert, managing network printers and production devices.

Responsibilities

  • Provide SME support for various desktop operating systems and applications, with an emphasis on Windows.
  • Detect, resolve, and escalate incidents as necessary.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions to prevent future incidents.
  • Maintain and develop in-depth knowledge of supported systems and applications.
  • Serve as the escalation point of contact for Level 1 and Level 2 resources and applications/systems owners.
  • Perform application governance tasks, including attestations, continuity testing, and impact analysis.
  • Respond to audit and regulatory inquiries and ensure compliance with technology standards.
  • Follow predetermined plans and processes for routine administration of operational products and services.
  • Provide technical operational, analytical, and research support to technical teams through written and verbal communications.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of technical, operational, and service procedures, as well as process workflows for operational/application teams.
  • Function as a print hardware expert for print labs and production devices, including configuring network printers and MFDs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles.
  • Knowledge of configuration management processes and methodologies.
