About the position

The position involves serving as an Architect for Global Banking Application Solutioning & Engineering at Bank of America. The individual will define the infrastructure engineering approach within a comprehensive technology stack, contributing to multiple cross-functional teams. The role focuses on enhancing performance and capacity across technology stacks, ensuring compliance with enterprise system design standards, and improving solution design and delivery practices.

Responsibilities

• Consults with the business and operations to identify and understand challenges and opportunities to improve the use and effectiveness of technology.
• Works with product management and other stakeholders to plan and prioritize technology focused backlog items for the architecture runway.
• Performs design and code reviews to ensure all non-functional requirements for a solution are sufficiently met.
• Leads rapid shaping of a high level architecture with details filled in with emerging business requirements.
• Educates team members on the technology practices, standardization strategies, and best practices to create innovative solutions.
• Clarifies the architecture and assists with system design for the development teams to support implementation.
• Utilizes the defined best practices, templates, and documentation to create architectural designs.

Requirements

• Proficiency in understanding concepts and technologies in DevOps, IT operations, security, cloud, microservices, containers, distributed systems, and scheduling platforms.
• Proficiency and/or knowledge of HashiCorp tools.
• Proficiency and/or knowledge of Kerberos, Active Directory.
• Proficiency and/or knowledge of coding against Rest API, JSON, etc.
• Proficiency and/or knowledge with middleware such as WebSphere, WebLogic, Apache, etc.
• Experience with implementing software products or solutions to large and dynamic enterprise companies.
• Ability to code in at least two of the following languages: C#, .Net Framework/Core, Java, PowerShell, Unix Shell.
